What color shall I paint the room?

That is the question isn’t it? Conventional wisdom has always suggested that white walls, white ceiling, and white trim will make the room look more spacious. But does it?

These homeowners were having difficulty deciding whether to go with the usual white on white on white paint scheme. The wife wanted to add a pop of color, but the husband was unwilling to commit to a bright feature wall that may not age well over time. We suggested a gray ceiling to complement the gray ceramic floor tiles, with the walls and trim remaining white. The clients were thrilled with the results.

Subtle changes in neutral colors can help to pull a room together, making it cozier with that pop of color that accentuates a particular accessory or piece of furniture. Consider experimenting with color.
